AnimixStream is an anime indexing platform — we do not host video files on our servers; streams and downloads are provided by non-affiliated third parties. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and how it is used.

1. Information you provide

• Account: username, email address and password when you register. Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes — we never store or see plain-text passwords.
• Profile: avatar image and bio text you choose to add.
• Activity: wishlist entries, favorites, watch history, comments, replies, likes and anime/episode ratings you create.
• AniList (optional): if you connect AniList, we store your AniList username and an access token on our server solely to sync your anime list both ways. Disconnecting removes the token.

2. Information collected automatically

• View counters: aggregate, anonymous counts of page and episode views used for trending rails and statistics.
• Cookies & sessions: a session cookie keeps you logged in and remembers basic preferences. It contains no advertising trackers of our own.

3. Third-party content

Video players, download links, cover images and trailers are loaded from external services (streaming hosts, AniList CDN, YouTube). Those providers may set their own cookies and log your visit under their own privacy policies — we have no control over them.

4. How we use information

• Operate accounts, wishlists, history, comments and ratings.
• Show trending/popular content and keep the service running smoothly.
• Moderate abuse (bans) and send notifications you triggered (e.g. new-episode or reply alerts).
• We do not sell personal data and show no third-party ads of our own.

5. Data retention & your rights

Your content stays until you delete it (or your account is removed by request or moderation). You may ask for a copy or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing animixstream@proton.me — we will act on verified requests promptly.

6. Children

AnimixStream is a general-audience anime catalogue. Some titles are marked adult (18+) — those pages are not intended for minors.

7. Changes
